The Wind Orchestra was selected by peer review for recognition on the “Small College Band Program Showcase” at the 2025 College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) in Fort Worth, Texas in March.

As one of only seven groups from around the nation to be included, this recognition includes a recorded performance of the ensemble to be shared with the CBDNA membership at the showcase as introduced by Professor James Ripley, director of instrumental music activities.

The application included a summary of activities of the band, as well as a recording made at the “150th Anniversary Concert” on May 11, 2024. This recording featured the Wind Orchestra’s performance of Timothy Mahr’s work commissioned by the College to commemorate the Sesquicentennial Anniversary — “Scene One: FORTITUDE.”
