Musical theatre senior Olivia Litton ’25 will present her senior recital, entitled “Curtain Up,” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, in the H. F. Johnson Recital Hall.
The night will include selections from classic musical theatre to contemporary and popular hit songs, from artists Aretha Franklin to Stephen Sondheim. Yu-Mei Chang M.M. ’22 will accompany Olivia. The recital also includes a character study on Rose from the musical “Gypsy,” featuring Vivian Alexander ’26, Dominic Luzwick ’27, and Danae Palmer ’25 playing various characters.
Danae Palmer ’25 will present a senior recital, called “Kaleidoscope of Song,” at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, in the H. F. Johnson Recital Hall. The recital will focus on the traditional genre, a set captivating the self-growth through love, and a character study focusing on the role of Veronica Sawyer in the musical “Heathers.” Danae will be joined by her accompanist, Melissa Cardamone, and colleague, Dominic Luzwick. The program will include: “Disneyland” from “Smile,” “I Know Things Now” from “Into the Woods,” “Is it Really Me?” from “110 in the Shade,” “Love of my Life” from “Brigadoon,” “Backwoods Barbie” from “9 to 5,” “Come to Your Senses” from “Tick Tick Boom!,” “I Know the Truth” from “Aida,” and “Love Will Come and Find Me Again” from “Bandstand.”
